How PayPay Phone Verification Works

1. A Japanese mobile number is registered — PayPay requires phone-number authentication during registration, including when registration starts through Yahoo! JAPAN ID, Google, Apple or a carrier option.
2. PayPay runs phone authentication — the standard registration flow uses outbound phone-call authentication (電話発信). The phone-authentication screen includes an option for data-only SIM users that switches the step to SMS authentication instead.
3. Phone-number authentication is completed — once PayPay confirms the applicable authentication step, the phone number is registered to the PayPay account.

• Japanese mobile number: required — registration asks for a 携帯電話番号 (mobile number).
• Overseas phone numbers: not supported by PayPay.
• SMS capability: PayPay states that registration requires a device contract able to receive SMS authentication codes.

How Our PayPay Verification Service Works

1. Place your order — choose Standard or Express Delivery and complete checkout.
2. Receive your verification details — we provide the Japanese mobile number and step-by-step instructions for PayPay's authentication flow.
3. Start PayPay registration — enter the supplied number when PayPay requests phone authentication.
4. Complete the supported authentication step — if PayPay presents the SMS authentication option for your registration flow (shown on the phone-authentication screen for data-only SIM users), our instructions cover selecting it. We receive the SMS verification code on the supplied number and provide it to you.
5. Complete verification — enter the code in the PayPay app to finish the phone-verification step.
